As we sat on the sunny bank and trees swayed in the wind we were fed a quick snack. We set off for a bush walk; the canopy shaded us as we strolled through the lush rainforest. On our way back we took a dip in the icy, yet refreshing spring water. Children leapt off the diving board into the cool pool as the others played a fun game of water volleyball.
We returned to our tents and changed into suitable attire for lunch. Lunch had finished and it was time to play an enjoyable orienteering session for 5A, whilst 6H had free time. We were placed at an area somewhere in the scout camp and had to find our way to the finish using nothing but a compass and map.
The day was ending as we ate our Chico’s for dinner. We set off for the lodge to watch Despicable Me 2 with yummy popcorn to enjoy. Before we hopped into our tents for bed we played a quick game of spotlight in the dark wilderness. We went to bed and hoped for a relaxing night sleep, although it didn’t seem very likely!

On Wednesday 27 November 5A and 6H went to Mount Keira Scout Camp for our school camp. When we all arrived we had to put up our tents. So everyone tried but not everyone was successful. Luckily we had some parents to help us. People had many different sized tents, some were big but some were small. First we had to connect the poles to the tent, which wasn’t easy but we finally did it. Then we put the waterproof cover on our tents and made our beds. Putting down the tents was a lot harder because when we did it, it started to pour down rain. To make it worse; when we were pulling it down, it fell on us so we had to escape quickly. We all survived and we got all the tents packed away.
